As part of our mission, Saint Anthony Catholic School extracurricular programs offer a variety of activities to enrich the experiences of our elementary and middle school students. From church service to student government, these opportunities allow students to deepen their involvement, explore their passions, and build lasting connections within our school community.
Participating in extracurricular activities enhances personal growth, fosters leadership, and encourages a sense of belonging. We design each activity to help students develop valuable skills and strengthen their connection to both our school and church community.
Though we are a small, close-knit school, we continually expand our extracurricular offerings to better serve our students. Our goal is to provide a wide range of activities that allow every student to explore new interests, discover their talents, and fully immerse themselves in the Saint Anthony Catholic School extracurricular experience.
What we offer
Altar Servers
Altar servers play an important role in assisting the clergy during church services. They help by carrying sacred items, ringing the altar bell, and supporting the liturgy. Students in 3rd grade and above who meet academic requirements are encouraged to serve in this meaningful role.
Art Program
Students in grades K-8 can apply to join our after-school art program, where they explore various artistic mediums and creative techniques. This program is ideal for students who enjoy art class and wish to deepen their appreciation and skills in visual arts.
Choir
Our choir provides students with the opportunity to learn and perform music together, enhancing our church services with beautiful song. Students ages eight and older are invited to join and develop their musical talents in a supportive group setting.
Chess
Chess club is open to students who enjoy strategic thinking, problem-solving, and friendly competition. Players of all levels can join to learn new strategies, improve their skills, and participate in matches with their peers.
Honor Society
Middle school students who meet academic and character requirements may be invited to join the National Junior Honor Society, a prestigious organization dedicated to leadership, citizenship, and service. Members take part in school-wide service projects and help organize after-school events throughout the year.
Safety Patrol
Safety patrol provides 7th-grade students the opportunity to assist with afternoon dismissal and ensure the safety of their fellow classmates. Participants develop responsibility and leadership skills while helping with carline procedures.
Student Council
Student council offers students the chance to take on leadership roles and contribute to school governance. From secretary and treasurer positions to vice president and president, students can use their skills to serve their school community and represent their peers.
Bricks 4 Kids
Bricks 4 Kidz affords young minds the space for creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration through the building of Lego-based structures. In addition to the fun and hands-on nature of the program, students learn S.T.E.A.M. concepts.
