Our Middle School Education

Serving Sixth through Eighth Grade

At Saint Anthony Catholic School, middle school students build upon the strong foundation laid in earlier years while preparing for the academic challenges ahead. By balancing future readiness with a well-rounded, student-centered approach, we equip our middle schoolers for success.

Rooted in Catholic faith and values, our middle school curriculum provides a Christ-centered education that nurtures the whole child – spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Students embrace new responsibilities and opportunities through Florida Virtual classes, sports, clubs, and community service, all while deepening their faith and connection to the school community.

Academic Programs

Our middle school curriculum emphasizes self-advocacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. These core skills help prepare students for success both at Saint Anthony and beyond. We follow the standards selected by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and align with the Next Generation Science Standards and ISTE Technology Standards,

Facilities + Technology

We offer meaningful opportunities to enhance learning and provide a high-quality, modern education. With structured supervision and smart filtering tools, students use technology safely and productively while learning essential digital skills.

By integrating technology with strong faith-based instruction, we promote both academic excellence and Eucharistic-centered growth.

Embracing Technology

Technology is intentionally woven into daily learning. Students are introduced to Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic coding, gaining confidence in tools they’ll use for years to come. With classroom access to computers and iPads, technology becomes a natural extension of their education.

Science Lab

Our middle school science lab allows students to explore concepts through hands-on enrichment activities. They collect data, interpret results, design models, and create STREAM Fair projects that nurture curiosity and critical thinking.

Middle School Curriculum

During the middle school years, we continue to strengthen Eucharistic faith foundations and academic excellence while preparing students for the future. Our rigorous, faith-infused curriculum emphasizes Catholic values, nurturing well-rounded, engaged students who are ready for life beyond graduation.

We promote curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning. By guiding students through academic challenges, we help them become effective learners who approach each subject with confidence. With support from our dedicated teachers and caring school community, students gain a deeper understanding of foundational concepts. They also develop the tools they need to solve problems and approach learning with independence and purpose.

Our science curriculum focuses on critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving. Through hands-on experiences and exposure to coding and computer-based learning, students are equipped with future-ready skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Middle school students participate in Spanish, Art, and Music classes. These experiences enrich their education while cultivating creativity, cultural awareness, and an appreciation for the arts.

We intentionally develop key skills such as leadership, collaboration, public speaking, writing, and summarizing. These essential life skills help students succeed not only in school but in everyday interactions and future pursuits.

Religion classes guide students to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith and its application in their lives. These lessons help them explore their role in the community and church, fostering a sense of purpose and service.

Through meaningful lessons and classroom discussions, our curriculum encourages students to think critically, analyze different perspectives, and creatively solve problems—skills they’ll rely on in high school and beyond.

Middle schoolers participate in physical education classes twice a week and enjoy daily recess. These moments promote wellness, teamwork, and balance, ensuring students stay active and healthy while managing academic responsibilities.
